Morocco: Week 1

This week has been a crazy flurry! We had to wake up at 5 in the morning to get to the airport and went from SLC to New York. Unfortunately in NYC, we had a SEVEN-hour layover! Ugh. We were supposed to be visiting our friend Samira while we were there, but I guess her phone was turned off and we never got in touch with her. It was lame. So instead we had to just sit at the airport for a really long time. It went fairly quickly I guess, but then our flight to Casa ended up leaving late by an hour, with us just sitting there on the plane. It was totally ridiculous! But whatever. Anyway, so we got to Casa finally (which, btw, my hair doesn’t take to this stupid weather well, so within like ten seconds it was already curly) and met up with my mom’s family.

From there we drove to Rabat, and met up with some more of my moms family, and finally got to eat some real food, thank God! Then I fell asleep. Haha. Jet lag, what can I say? Anyway, so I was pretty tired, but I mostly just kinda listened to everyone talk and such, and then we went to bed. The rest of the time in Rebat went pretty much the same way. We woke up late every morning (on account of staying up till like 3 every night haha), and then just kinda chilled while everyone caught up. We went to the beach a couple of times, but since we went so late it was always cloudy by the time we got there and it was COLD! I swam the first time, but the second time I mostly just slept on the beach. We went around town a couple of times too and just looked around, shopped a bit, but that was about it. Kinda boring. At least I had Internet there haha, unlike here.

Finally we went to Sefrou, in which we stay at my Grandma’s house. This is the first time I’ve been here, but it’s SO pretty. I love it. They are still working on the renovations on it, but they are just about done and it looks great. We’ve only been here a few days now, and haven’t done much yet. We went to the pool yesterday, which was actually pretty fun! It is like just this huge party spot for all the local teens. Everyone there knows each other, and they have a separate pool for the little kids which was nice too. There also aren’t very many adults, and the lifeguards are 10x times more chill than the ones back in the U.S. Still no cute boys to been seen just yet, there are a couple that are okay, but man, boys in the U.S. are a lot hotter! I’m keeping a look out though. The guys dress very different here, which is kinda weird to me. It’s a very… metro look? It’s the only way I can think to describe the look.

Oh well. Hopefully we’re going to go see my dad’s family today, but it’s raining so I don’t know if were still planning on it. I love my dads family, but a lot of my cousins are all older and moved out, so its kind of boring. But, I want to see my Grandpa! Also, my cousin is getting married in less than a month, so I’m syked to go to a wedding; my grandma even gave me this awesome dress as a present! It’s going to be fun. Henna time, woo! Haha! I think I’m going to get another piercing while I’m here. I get one almost every time I come, it would be weird to not get one this time haha. So I’m thinking either re-pierce my navel, or my cartilage? Haven’t decided just yet. Opinion? I haven’t done any shopping yet unfortunately, but I think we should go in the next couple of days. Not having my own car blows! BUT I do have some cool stuff to bring back home! :] AND I am getting some good sun, WOO! Besides that… things have just been chill. I really miss my dad and my dog! And, of course, my friends! Haha! And I am kind of dreading coming back and having so much to do with so little time. I wish we had better planned that, but oh well, it’s too late now anyway. OH! I’m also pretty pissed cuz my stupid camera deleted all of my pictures which I took over 200 pictures, and now they are all gone. UGH! And there is nothing I can do about it.

(This next part is just memory part for my own personal blog; so don’t bother reading it unless you’re really THAT bored. Haha)

All of my little cousins have grown up! Ahmed and Kamar are both six now and are both so cute. Ahmed is a little bratty and spoiled, but mostly sweet. Kamar is freaking ADORABLE. Holy crap, she’s going to be SO pretty when she grows up! She is also so calm and sweet; I just love her to death. Which is so funny, cuz she follows me everywhere now, and she didn’t really like me as a baby. Haha. Ashraf is kinda a pain in the ass cuz he thinks he’s so cool. But I guess that’s just how it is when you’re 16. whateve. Rim is SO cute, her birthday is end of the month, and she’ll be turning 1. She is such a cutie, and so smart! She can mimick any sound you tell her, it’s so funny, I’m going to tape it haha and send it to Americas funniest home videos. Malaik is four, but this is the first time I met her. She is so adorable, but is SUCH a brat. She has to have everything and everything has to be done her way. It’s kind of annoying, but she always says sorry and is sweet about it again. Walid is all grown up now too, and thinks he’s funny. He was cuter when her was little. Haha. Weaim is just a little over one, and is cute, but very attached to her parents and is kind of a crybaby. She smiles sometimes though. Acraim is my handicap cousin, and he is so cute, but its really sad too. I love him to death though! Nada is JUST LIKE Zack, likes what she likes, doesn’t listen to any advice she is given and thinks she is always right. Oh well, comes with the age I guess. Nessim is cool; he is learning English so I talk with him. I He’s pretty good, but he is kind of a negative person, he pretty much hates Morocco and wants to go to America. I told him its really not that great, but he doesn’t listen. I haven’t seen the other 3 yet, some sort of family fued going on right now, so I’m not sure when that’s going to happen. Inside jokes of the week: Ashrah! Cha, cha, cha! My Aunt Smahan and I are in a fued, and so far I’m winning by 5, HA! That’s pretty much the end of this week, and the end of next week I’ll write again.

hmm... so apperently i go through a lot of mood swings as ive read through my past entries. its been forever since ive written on here, but since no body reads on here anyway i assume it doesnt really matter..

life has been pretty... off lately. its normal mostly, but i just dont care about anything anymore. my friends drive me crazy, school stucks, and i should probably bother doing stuff in class.. or you kno, bother going at all. haha.

other than that tho, life has been pretty good. i guess you could have i have myself a boy... but its nothing serious, weve discussed the matter, and i cant handle a serious relationship now. i cant even handle life right now as it is. but its all good... just livin it day by day i guess...

so whats the deal with florida? are we not doing that anymore? its funny how everyone assumes were going, but nobody wants to bother planning anything for it. its lovely.

you know whats really annoying?

is when ppl don't bother to understand what YOU want to do. For example: my mom and i have had this disagreement a million times now, but she just doesnt seem to get it. I told her what industry im interested in going into and studying, and all she does is complain about how im being dumb and how i should become a doctor or at least become an engineer like my dad. She doesnt seem to understand that no matter how many times i tell her, I WANT TO DO SOMETHING THAT I WILL ENJOY AND BE HAPPY WITH.

i dont want a job where i get to sit around by myself and stare at a computer screen. And i dont want to be a doctor because to me its a sad job. I couldnt handle it very well. I want a job where i get to do something fun but still have a semigood pay. Something that i enjoy doing and still get to associate with people because i like talking to people. A job where i get to be creative. The way i see it, id have a set job no matter what. Ive narrowed it down to two things im interested in: journalism (like for a magazine) or doing something in the fashion industry. Either way, neither of those things are in risk of going away anytime soon. Well ALWAYS need magazines and newspapers, and like anyone is gonna stop caring about how they look and feel anytime soon.

So why is that so hard to understand? grrr....

uh yeah so im sorry i haven't updated sooner...? something like that?

sorry its just these last couple months have been so hectic for me i wouldnt even know where to start. Itll calm down now that school is almost over (next thursday baby! YES!), but ive just been super swamped lately.

so i went to vegas a couple weeks ago. that was super fun! gotta love vegas haah. went on some rides and stuff while i was there, got some sun, pretty happy!

found out i get my braces off in 7 WEEKS! AHHHHHHHHH im so syked! i cant wait! i talked to CJ today and he got his braces off yesterday... and i didnt even notice yesterday when i talked to him! i felt so bad! i noticed today and he was like "uh yeah thanks for noticing now!" opps? oh well its not like he means it anyway, and i apologized like 5 times so its all good haha.

Oh and he owes me a date. so hes gonna take me out soon, YES! he asked me about it today, he was like "hey so when are we going on a date?" and i said "hmm i dunno, whenever you arrange it?!" haha, so yeah, pretty happy about that one, like you have noooooooooo idea hahaha.

opened our pool last weekend. sarah is happy because she gets to go SWIMMING!!!!! woohooo

and i found out leisha is gonna be coming by again this summer! YAY! i love getting to see friends :]

and lastly... sarah is totally freaking out. why? because next year we are gonna be seniors, and the thought of that is extremely scary to me. I feel like im not old enough to tell people im a senior in high school! and now i think about college, my future, what i want to do with the rest of my life?, testing, last chances with friends... moving out? it finally hit me yesterday that this was the real deal. And i just about cried. I honestly dont know if im even ready to be doing this... but its not like i have a choice, ya know? i dunno i could be totally over-dramatizing... but it just seems really scary to me, but all of my friends just seem like they think its no big deal... i dunno... i guess im just over stressed

Hey guys i need some help!

so i'm running for SBO at school, but i need some ideas for my position. I'm running for assemblies and i have to have:

-An idea for next years theme and 2 spirit activities.
- Give 2 different ideas/examples for assemblies that would reflect creativity and student involvment. Theme, talent, etc.
- Ideas on conducting the school charity fundraiser, i.e. theme, community, and school involvement.

any ideas or things your guys schools did that could help me out? i have a couple ideas but i want something other ideas....

help me asap i gotta have this thing turned in by wednesday! thanks!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

i'm SO effing excited!

I'M GOING TO PROM!

yeah, pretty much my day is like a bagillion times better. i mean the guy that asked me is not anyone i like more than a friend, but hes pretty much one of my coolest guy friends EVER! i'm syked man! YEAAAAAAAAAAH! and he asked me some cool way....by making me a cake! it is SO good, we ate it at lunch today, and i have never met a boy who could cook so good! he made it all by himself from scratch, frosting included. one of the best cakes ive ever tasted, no joke. i'm jealous cuz hes a better cook than me haha. ok thats all i just wanted to let you all know cuz some of you know i was really bummed that i wasnt going

oh but get this. so before i couldnt even figure out who i could go with, and then all of the sudden TWO boys asked me. i said yes to one of them that was a closer friend though cuz we would have more fun, plus he actually ASKED me, the other kid got a friend of his to see if i would go with him. psh yeah, go figure.

My.
God.

seriously, i'm positively absolutely for no joke going INSANE. i need new friends. it seems like everyone is busy with something all the time now! what is it, and why was i not invited??? >.<

school is such a pain. and im getting worse at, to the point of were im almost not even doing my hmwk anymore. its gets done and i still get good grades, im just getting worse with procrastinating.

then half my friends have boyfriends. this wouldnt bother me so much if it wasnt for the fact that i keep getting left out of stuff because i dont have one. and the boy i like doesnt hang out with my group of friends, so its not like i can work on that more, i only get to see him every other day! and thats if im lucky.

and to top it all off: its cold. freezing. and there is snow. where was the snow back in december when i wanted it so i could go play in it??? No its coming in now, just when i want it to start getting WARMER. so i dont have to wear a jacket every freakin day.

oh and my myspace is giving me problems! is anyone else having problems logging on and stuff? cuz i cant even get to my site anymore.... :( ok well i sorta can but its a big pain...

*sigh* sometimes, as good as life is sometimes, it can really suck...
